Navigate the Green Economy: Research Climate Policy & Carbon Markets!
Explore the forces shaping the future of energy! As a Climate Policy & Carbon Markets Research Intern, you’ll investigate the policies, regulations, and economic mechanisms influencing the renewable energy sector in Algeria and globally. You will research climate change legislation, analyze renewable energy support schemes (like incentives or auctions), track developments in carbon markets (including carbon credits and trading systems), and synthesize your findings into clear reports and briefings to inform Shams Djazair’s strategy and navigate opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing studies in Environmental Policy, Economics, Political Science, Law, International Relations, or a related field with a focus on environment or energy.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to effectively synthesize complex information from policy documents, market reports, and academic sources.
- Familiarity with key climate concepts (e.g., Paris Agreement, NDCs) and carbon pricing mechanisms (e.g., carbon credits, ETS) is highly advantageous.
- An analytical thinker passionate about the intersection of policy, economics, and sustainable development, with a proactive and curious approach to learning.
